What a week. I spent Monday through Wednesday in Philly speaking on the do’s and do not’s of our new Biofusion Blood Test. Riviting, I know. Besides eating incredible food, I am all but sick of that city. Once a week, every week, I get on a stuffy plane and put on a miserable business suit to stand in front of three thousand geeks who are enamored with this product. I find it interesting, yes, but I would much rather be curled up in that hotel king-sized bed scrolling through the DIRECT TV Guide with a bowl of ice cream in hand. So, last Wednesday, I did just that. I called my boss and explained that I needed an extra day in Philly to go through my expense report before flying home, called the front desk to extend my stay and then called room service for a nice little spread of cheese and wine charged to Siemens Inc. Then, I ordered sappy romantic comedies with the remote and nestled into the cold, perfect hotel sheets. Who says you can’t have a vacation on a work trip?

Here we are at the end of another year. 2011 went by so fast on one hand and SO slow on the other. I made some big changes in my life this year. One of them was deciding to start going to a gym regularly. I have always been one of those people that would try a workout here and there but would never really stick to anything more than maybe two times. This year I decided was going to be my year for the gym. I decided in roughly September and have been going several times a week ever since. This month has been the best month yet. I hear December is always slow but man, I have never seen such a ghost town! Luckily my gym has Expert Satellite with television sets everywhere to keep me company while I workout. I will usually tune it to a show that I like and since there is no one else there I don’t have to worry about anyone complaining that they don’t want to watch my show.

Shadow Shot Sunday - The Pond

Last weekend hubby, myself, and our sons went to the farm and have some walking exercise. we enjoyed it and i took some pictures while we are walking. I took the picture above when we pass the pond. That is our source of water when we spray the blueberries. Hubby put some signs preventing the people to swim in that pond. Anyway, have a great day and stay safe. -SSS-

When I looked up Electric Company Rates in Grapevine I was shocked. I wasn’t used to having deregulated energy back home in Georgia so it was crazy to me that the rates were so low in other parts of the country. Anyway, the move was all in all a success but you know one thing? I’m never, EVER going to plan to do manual labor in August in Texas again, I can promise you that much! I don’t know what people are thinking but at the end of the day they’ve got some nerve trying to get me to move in that kind of heat. Anyway, my husband loves his new job and I love that we were able to afford so much more house for the money. We’ll be able to start a family soon with all this extra space and that was part of the reason we moved so I’m glad it’s working out at the end of the day. I can’t wait to see!
